Refining search results to only show pages from a certain time period or geographic region is totally doable. There are a few different techniques you can use depending on the search engine.

For Google, let's start with filtering by date range. After doing an initial search, just click the "Tools" option under the search box. Then select the "Any time" dropdown and you can choose a custom date range for your results. You can also add numeric date ranges right in the search, like "business trends" after:2021 before:2023.

As for location, Google lets you filter by region under those same "Tools." But you can also try adding the location to your query, like "pizza restaurants philadelphia" or using the region: operator, like globalization region:uk.

Most search engines will also localize results based on your IP address automatically. You can always limit results to a specific country by including the geographic domain - for example, site:amazon.ca for Canada or site:amazon.co.uk for the United Kingdom.

The search engine's built-in filtering tools are likely the most reliable way to narrow by date or location. But incorporating time and location qualifiers to your queries can help drill down further too.
